Mentpack SPM800 Stick Packaging Machine - Technical Description 1. General Machine Characteristics Designed for high-capacity production of larger packages. Enables high-volume output with simplified operation, reducing the need for high technical expertise. Straightforward mechanical and electronic architecture contributes to savings in service and maintenance costs. Features an 800mm reel width. Reduced energy consumption. Compact machine dimensions. Simple and compact mechanical architecture. 2. Mechanical Design & Construction Chassis constructed from SS304 material. All machine parts are either coated or made of stainless steel. Materials: Aluminium: 5754 or 7075 grade. Stainless Steel: 304, 316L, 316T grades. Easily accessible open frame design. 3. Film Handling System Reel system positioned at the rear of the machine. Reel stand equipped with an airshaft-based film changing system. Pneumatic O-ring brake system for reel stand braking. Cutting blades and photocell sensors are easily accessible, located on top of the reel stand. Maximum Reel Width: 800mm. 4. Sealing & Cutting System Jaw Mechanism: Vertical jaws activated by pneumatic movement. Vertical jaw temperatures are individually controlled and managed for each sealing line, utilizing separate temperature probes (e.g., dedicated probes for right and left sides of each jaw). Horizontal jaws activated by pneumatic movement. Horizontal jaws engage the film at the upper level position. Process Operation: Standard configuration: Sealing, package length adjustment, and cutting are performed simultaneously. Optional Flat Cutting System: Available as a separate station, allowing sealing, length adjustment, and cutting to occur in distinct, sequential stations. 5. Drive System Main machine movement powered by a servo-driven motor linear rail, ensuring precision and high-speed operation. Upper position serves as a constant servo reset point. Lower point position dynamically adjusts proportional to the package length. 6. Control System & Human-Machine Interface (HMI) PLC Platforms: Siemens S7, Beckhoff. HMI Platforms: Siemens, Beckhoff. User-friendly HMI panel design. Package length can be adjusted via photocell mark recognition or direct input through the HMI panel. Real-time air pressure monitoring with trend visualization on the HMI panel. Integrated alarm system to inform the machine operator of any alarm conditions. Operational control: Upon reaching a target production quantity, the machine executes a pre-defined scenario (e.g., automatic reset and signal, or complete stop with a signal warning). Optional Recipe System: Enables saving and loading of program settings (requires special hardware). 7. Connectivity & Remote Support Software support via internet facilitated by an industrial VPN router. Unlimited and free internet connections provided during the warranty period. 8. Maintenance & Diagnostics Dedicated HMI page for manual output tests and motor jog functions, aiding in maintenance. Easily accessible photocell sensor adjustment. Open frame design and simple mechanical architecture facilitate maintenance access. 9. Documentation & Warranty Documentation: User manuals, electrical diagrams, spare part catalogue, and all electrical & mechanical documents are provided digitally. These are accessible indefinitely using a QR code located on the machine. Warranty: 10-Year PLC and HMI panel software guarantee, contingent on the continued production of the used devices by the manufacturer. All pneumatic parts will be out of warranty if the specified air quality requirements are not met by the customer. 10.
